Skyray EDX6000C Energy-Dispersive XRF Spectrometer

The Skyray EDX6000C is a next-generation energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) spectrometer designed for rapid, accurate, and non-destructive elemental analysis across a wide range of industries. It combines an electrically cooled silicon drift detector (SDD), an intelligent analysis system, and optional automated multi-sample chambers to support efficient laboratory testing.

With vacuum and helium measurement capabilities, the EDX6000C is designed to analyze light elements as well as heavier elements in solid and liquid samples. Its intelligent software can identify sample materials and select suitable analytical curves automatically, helping simplify routine measurements.

Key Features

  • Wide Elemental Coverage: Analyzes elements from fluorine (F) to uranium (U).
  • High-Sensitivity SDD Detector: Large-area graphene ultra-thin-window, electrically cooled semiconductor detector.
  • Low Detection Limit: Detection limits as low as 0.2 ppm for light matrices, according to the manufacturer.
  • Advanced Digital Processing: 4096-channel high-speed digital multichannel analyzer with counting rates up to 300 KCPS.
  • Vacuum and Helium Modes: Supports atmospheric, vacuum, and helium testing conditions to improve analysis of light elements.
  • Intelligent Sample Recognition: Automatically identifies sample materials and selects appropriate analytical curves.
  • Automatic Multi-Sample Analysis: PLC-controlled sample chamber configurations for automated workflows and reduced manual intervention.
  • Flexible Sample Chambers: Available configurations include 9 rotating sample positions, 12 positions, or 20 positions, with specific switching capabilities depending on configuration.
  • Advanced Safety Protection: Detector-window protection, high-voltage interlocks, and a self-locking sample cover.
  • Specialized XRF Software: Includes XRF composition analysis software version 4.0 and RoHS 5.0 intelligent software.

Applications

The EDX6000C is suitable for:

  • Cement and Building Materials: Elemental analysis of cement, refractory materials, and glass.
  • Metals and Alloys: Composition analysis of stainless steel, copper alloys, and other metallic materials.
  • Environmental Testing: Soil, solid waste, and soil-remediation analysis.
  • RoHS and Hazardous Elements: Testing for restricted substances in electronics, toys, footwear leather, and related products.
  • Geology and Mining: Geological samples and mineral analysis.
  • Petrochemical Industry: Elemental analysis of petroleum and chemical products.
  • Food and Agriculture: Analysis of beneficial and harmful elements in feeds and fertilizers.
  • Precious Metals: Analysis of gold, platinum, silver, and jewelry materials.
